When Was LaGuardia Airport Created?

La Guardia Airport was originally named Glenn H.

Curtiss Airport when it was constructed in 1929. Somtime after that the name was changed nyc cab flat rate to jfk North Beach Airport. In October, 1939 it was renamed New York Municipal Airport and JFK taxi vs black car New York Municipal Airport-La Guardia Field in November, 1939. When the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey took over operations in 1947, JetBlack the name was changed to La Guardia Airport.
